God commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous, and sealed that imperative with the assurance that He would accompany Joshua wherever he went. God then affirmed that imperative through the two spies who encountered Rahab. Understanding that the inhabitants of Jericho understood the might of God emboldened the spies and Joshua that indeed God had already delivered Canaan into their hands.

What affirmations has God sent to each of us individually that He is more than capable to fulfill His promises to us? It may be difficult to see how He will complete what He has started; but we need only look for the sometimes subtle clues that He leaves along our pathway. Some of those hints may have been yesterday; others may have been months or years ago. But God has already given us many victories for the future if we trust Him where He leads us.
